What problem are you trying to solve?

Start with the farm problem, then identify what should be measured or corrected. AquaTech does not assume that equipment alone fixes biological, water-quality or husbandry problems.

Low dissolved oxygen

Measure oxygen first, assess biomass, aeration capacity, temperature and system circulation before selecting equipment.

High ammonia

Ammonia can reflect feeding, biomass, pH, temperature and biofiltration. Testing and system correction should precede equipment purchases.

High nitrite

Nitrite management depends on water chemistry, biofilter maturity, feeding and system operation. Equipment supports monitoring and filtration but is not a standalone cure.

Poor water quality

Define the actual parameter problem before treating water. Use measurements and source-water assessment rather than guessing.

Low or unstable pH

pH should be interpreted with alkalinity, source water and biological loading. Meters and dosing systems support management; they do not replace water-chemistry diagnosis.

Poor alkalinity

Measure alkalinity accurately and correct it gradually with a farm-specific water-management plan.

Power failure

Life-support loads should be prioritised, sized and backed up using verified power requirements and realistic outage duration.

Inadequate aeration

Select aeration from oxygen demand, water depth, tank or pond geometry, biomass and redundancy requirements.

Slow fish growth

Growth problems can involve feed, water quality, health, genetics, density and temperature. Equipment may improve measurement or feeding but should not be assumed to be the cause.

Uneven fish sizes

Review grading frequency, feeding distribution, stocking density and health before assuming equipment is the limiting factor.

Feeding inefficiency

Improve feed observation, ration control and distribution before automating a poor feeding plan.

Pump failure

Assess duty point, head, flow, solids handling, redundancy and electrical protection before replacing a pump.

Poor water circulation

Circulation should be assessed against tank geometry, turnover target, solids movement and pump duty point.

Biofilter problems

Biofilters depend on loading, oxygen, alkalinity, temperature, media and hydraulic conditions. Monitoring is essential before changing equipment.

Borehole/source-water treatment

Test source water for the parameters relevant to the farm before choosing treatment media or equipment.

High mortality

Mortality requires urgent investigation of oxygen, water quality, disease, handling, stocking and recent changes. Equipment recommendations should follow diagnosis.

RAS monitoring

Continuous monitoring can strengthen early warning when sensor selection, calibration and alarm thresholds are appropriate.

Fish transport

Transport equipment should be matched to fish size, loading duration, oxygenation, temperature and handling procedures.

Hatchery water management

Hatcheries need stable source water, oxygen, temperature and flow with careful monitoring and redundancy.

Commercial aquaculture equipment

For RAS systems, oxygen generation, large pumps, filtration, hatchery systems and automation, start with requirements rather than a generic checkout.
